Repeat Prescriptions

pills_thermometerIf you are on repeat medication, details of your required medication will be entered on our computer and you may be able to order these without having to be seen by your doctor each time.   This will enable you to obtain your regular prescription for a fixed length of time which will be reviewed periodically by your doctor.  You will be issued with a computer slip showing details of your medication.
When you require a repeat prescription please use the computer re-order form, tick the items you require and pop it into the post box just inside the main entrance or post it to us if you are unable to come to the surgery.  If you are unable to come to the surgery and wish your prescription to be posted to you please send your request to us enclosing a stamped addressed envelope, allowing at least five working days for postal delays.
Or you may find it more convenient to order your repeat medication on line.
We have introduced a new improved service for ordering your repeat medications on line.   When you next order your medication you will be emailed an information sheet with a tear off slip which should be completed and either handed in to the practice or emailed to:
Information sheets are also available at reception.
Upon receipt of the completed slip we will register you for the service and you will then receive an email with your unique ordering number and instructions on how to set up your account.
As from 01 04 18 repeat medications can only be ordered online using the new service.   Please ensure you complete and return the slip to the practice before your next order is due.
Prescriptions will be available for collection within two full working days (after 3pm).
If you wish your repeat prescription to be sent direct to a pharmacy of your choice you must register with the pharmacy for this service before ordering on line.
Due to the volume of requests for repeat prescriptions we do not deal with requests over the telephone.
Should you lose or mislay your repeat reorder form the receptionist will be happy to print out a copy for you.   Please ask at the reception desk.
From time to time, you may be invited to attend the surgery for a review of your repeat medication.   You will be informed about this when you pick up your repeat prescription.
The practice does not accept unused or out of date medications from patients or their representatives, however, your local pharmacy will be happy to accept them.
